The FDP has got down to the work of the Defense Minister: The parliamentary group has summarized on six pages what “Modern management structures for the Defense Ministry and the Bundeswehr” could look like.

The paper that WELT has before us was created after months of discussions with Bundeswehr executives - and formulates the need for reform in a radical way that perhaps only an opposition party can.

"The Bundeswehr currently does not have a management structure that adequately reflects the tasks and tasks assigned to it," it says. In other words: The owner of the authority in peacetime, Kramp-Karrenbauer, can no longer guarantee that the Bundeswehr can perform its tasks.
