Barcelona joined the ranks of the semi-finalists of the Copa del Rey, after their thrilling victory over Granada 5-3 on Wednesday evening, in an exciting match that ended its original time in a 2-2 draw.

And the Andalusian team made a big match, during which they were able to advance with two goals alternately scored by Brazilian Kennedy and veteran striker Roberto Soldado in the 33rd and 47th minutes.

Granada remained in control of the match's result until the 88th minute;

Barcelona narrowed the gap with a goal by Frenchman Antoine Griezmann, before Jordi Alba scored the equalizer in the second minute of substitute time.

The result of the tie forced the two teams to play two more games, during the first of which Barcelona scored the goal with a perfect header from Antoine Griezmann, before Granada quickly adjusted the cuff with a penalty kick by Fedo Fico.

With the third minute of the second extra half time, Dutchman Frenkie de Jong scored a fourth goal for the Catalan team, which secured their qualification with a fifth goal that came with the feet of brilliant defender Jordi Alba.

With this victory, Barcelona booked the third pass to the next round, after it was preceded by the qualified Sevilla and Levante teams at the expense of Almeria and Villarreal.

The quarter-finals will be completed today, Thursday, by facing Real Betis and Athletic Bilbao for the last qualifying card.
