Augsburg (dpa / lby) - After the decision to open schools, the head of the teachers' association, Heinz-Peter Meidinger, has made a strong case for a return depending on the incidence rate.

"The minister of education would have to say clearly: With an incidence of 50 we go to alternating classes, the schools remain in distance classes," said Meidinger of the "Augsburger Allgemeine" (Wednesday).

Then there would be a patchwork quilt throughout Bavaria.

But that is justified and understandable for the schools.

Education Minister Michael Piazolo (Free Voters) announced on Tuesday that decisions on the possible opening of schools from February 15 would not be made until next week at relatively short notice.

You have to wait for the further development of the corona numbers, it said.
