He was on his way to class when the vehicle hit him.

This Tuesday morning, around 7 a.m., a 15-year-old teenager was run over by a van while crossing on a pedestrian crossing in Montalieu-Vercieu, in Isère.

Thrown to the ground, the victim momentarily lost consciousness, before being taken care of by the firefighters, then by the Samu of Bourgoin-Jallieu, and transported to the Bourgoin-Jallieu hospital center, reports

The seriousness of his injuries is unknown at this time.

A gray vehicle

The gendarmes arrived shortly after the accident at the scene and started looking for elements that could allow the driver of the van, who fled after the shock, to be found.

Gray debris from the vehicle, including a rear view mirror, was found.

Witnesses of the scene must be interviewed to understand the precise circumstances of the accident and gather information on the driver.
