On the night of Monday to Tuesday, the police were contacted by motorists who spotted a body on the emergency lane of the A22 motorway near Lille.

CRS from the 4 Cantons motorway company were sent to verify the testimonies received by calls to "17".

Arrived on the spot, the police indeed discovered a man lying on the emergency lane of the A22, between Marcq and Mouvaux, in the direction of Belgium.

"Attempted homicide, kidnapping and forcible confinement"

According to the Lille prosecutor's office, the man, aged about thirty, was "seriously injured".

He was rushed to the Lille hospital center where he was still this Tuesday evening.

According to our colleagues, the victim was at least partially tied up, information which has not been confirmed by the prosecutor's services.

However, the hypothesis that the victim was kidnapped before being abandoned by his captors is privileged.

Moreover, an investigation was opened of the counts of "attempted homicide, kidnapping and sequestration" by the prosecution and the investigations were entrusted to the judicial police of Lille.
