Dortmund (dpa) - Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Roman Bürki is out for about two weeks with a shoulder injury - now the Swiss is confronted with his club's alleged search for a successor.

According to information from "Bild", Dortmund is looking for a new goalkeeper because Bürki would fluctuate too much in his form.

Leipzig's Péter Gulácsi (30), the Cameroonian André Onana (24) from Ajax Amsterdam and the former German junior international Oddyseas Vlachodimos (26) from Benfica Lisbon are on the list of candidates.

All three keepers, however, still have contracts with their clubs until at least 2022. With Bürki, BVB extended a good six months ago to June 30, 2023.

The 30-year-old has been playing for Dortmund for five and a half years.

On Tuesday, BVB announced that the Swiss “will not be available in the next ten to 14 days”.

This was the result of the evaluation of the MRT images.

According to the club, Bürki injured his shoulder during a training session last week.

The regular goalkeeper is missing for the team of coach Edin Terzic in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup this Tuesday (8.45 p.m. / ARD and Sky) against the second division club SC Paderborn.

He also missed the Bundesliga game next Saturday (3:30 p.m.) at SC Freiburg.

Marwin Hitz (33) will be in the BVB goal again - the permanent reservist's contract expires in the summer.
