Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The state of Baden-Württemberg is putting together a second Corona aid package for local public transport, with which parents should also be relieved.

As was the case after the first Corona lockdown in spring, the parents' contributions for the student subscriptions are to be reimbursed - 20 million euros are to flow here, said the two group leaders of the coalition, Andreas Schwarz (Greens) and Wolfgang Reinhart (CDU), on Tuesday evening after a conversation with the district council in Stuttgart of the German press agency.

In addition, a large part of the loss of income of the transport companies is to be offset by almost empty buses and trains - here another 115 million euros are planned.

Of this, 65 million euros are from the last aid package, which was not exhausted last year due to higher federal aid.

Most recently, the state and municipalities had already agreed to reimburse parents for the fees for the time of the tightened corona lockdown in the daycare centers.
