Kempten (dpa / lby) - After the bloody act on his separated wife in a bus in the Allgäu, the public prosecutor demanded a life sentence for the husband for murder.

The 38-year-old defendant killed his former partner with numerous stab wounds in front of students on the bus.

The man's defense attorney rated the act only as bodily harm resulting in death and advocated an 11-year prison sentence.

The Kempten district court wanted to announce the verdict on Tuesday.

The prosecutor also asked the criminal chamber to determine the particular gravity of the defendant's guilt.

Should the judges follow this request, a suspended sentence would hardly be possible after 15 years in prison.

The prosecutor assumes that the Afghan had planned the murder of his wife for a long time due to his traditional understanding of roles.

The woman had separated a few months before the crime.

Her husband had previously become violent again and again.
