Delitzsch (dpa / sn) - Two cars crashed into trees on the roadside in quick succession on Monday evening, one person was seriously injured.

As the police announced, a 44-year-old driver between Brehna (SA) and Delitzsch had turned right off the lane and hit a tree.

The vehicle was thrown back onto the road as a result of the impact.

The driver suffered serious injuries.

A few moments later there was another accident with two oncoming vehicles.

A first oncoming car stopped at the scene of the accident.

To avoid a rear-end collision, the 28-year-old driver tried to swerve to the right in the second vehicle behind it.

She came off the road and also crashed into a tree.

The road was closed for a short time.
