Erfurt (dpa / th) - As usual at the beginning of the week, the number of reported new corona infections in Thuringia has been very restrained.
According to the Ministry of Health, 163 cases were reported from Sunday to Monday.
At the same time, the weekly number of infections per 100,000 inhabitants fell to around 161.
Nevertheless, Thuringia is still the most severely affected state.
There is less testing at the weekend and fewer reports are made.
The total number of infections detected since the start of the pandemic rose to 65,592.
In total, more than 53,000 people in Thuringia have been vaccinated against the corona virus for the first time, and 9,680 have already received their second dose.
On Sunday the second delivery from Moderna with 2400 vaccination doses arrived in Thuringia, on Monday another delivery from Biontech with 17,550 vaccination doses.
