Koblenz / Luxembourg (dpa) - Stabilus benefited from a recovery in the automotive markets at the start of the 2020/21 financial year, which has been running since October.

In the first quarter, sales rose by almost two percent to around 235 million euros compared to the previous year, the automotive and industrial supplier listed in the SDax announced on Monday.

Adjusted for the consequences of the strong euro, the proceeds rose by a little more than seven percent.

Adjusted for special effects, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased to 32.3 (previous year: 30) million euros.

This means that Stabilus performed slightly better in both values ​​than analysts recorded by Bloomberg had expected.

The group also confirmed the forecast for the 2020/21 financial year.
