Schwerin (dpa / mv) - Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) has again criticized the lack of planning security for the corona vaccinations.

"At the moment we only have planning data up to February 20 - and that is not enough to make long-term offers to people," said Schwesig on Monday evening in Schwerin after a top-level discussion between the federal and state governments on vaccination.

Schwesig spoke of a mixed result after hours of deliberations, which were also attended by top representatives from pharmaceutical companies.

"For me, the EU commissioners could not convincingly show why no more appointments were made, as is the case in other countries," criticized the Prime Minister.

However, she was confident that more vaccine would be available from April.

Schwesig spoke of a very dangerous situation against the background of the continued high number of infections and virus mutations.

There is currently not enough vaccine available for older people who urgently need the vaccination.
