Police arrested a man in the 15th arrondissement of Paris after a family found that a glass in their bathroom had been smashed by rifle fire.

The suspect of this shooting is none other than a neighbor who indulged in shooting pigeons, according to the elements gathered by the investigators.

The man was presented to a judge.

The scene takes place on January 25, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.

In the evening, a couple with a toddler hear the sound of broken glass.

They rush into the bathroom and notice a bullet hit the glass.

On the ground rests a lead bullet.

For the small family, there is no doubt: the person in charge is none other than one of their neighbors.

And for good reason, they have already filmed the latter handling a long gun from his balcony.

Noises of detonation "from time to time" in the neighborhood

The police are notified.

She conducts a neighborhood investigation and identifies the suspect.

The man will be arrested at his home.

The search will then allow the discovery, among other things, of a briefcase.

Inside, the police find a sniper rifle equipped with a silencer, a night-time telescopic sight and many lead boxes.

During a second, larger neighborhood survey, other neighbors reported dead pigeons regularly found on Place Saint-Charles.

Witnesses also reported detonation sounds "from time to time".

The suspect partially acknowledges the facts.

He would have confessed to shoot pigeons "sometimes" from his balcony.

His weapon being equipped with a camera, the police officers were able to seize the videos and establish the facts.

Several recordings show that the author of the videos was indeed having fun aiming and shooting at birds.

The 30-year-old suspect was brought before a judge for "endangering the life of another" and "possession of an undeclared category C weapon".
