The Brazilian star Neymar said that he wants to stay with his current club, Paris Saint-Germain, and that he wishes his colleague Kylian Mbappe to continue in the French capital's team as well.

Neymar, 28, joined the Parisian club from Barcelona in 2017 for a world record of 222 million euros, but many Spanish media reports spoke of his return to the Catalan club after that.

Mbappe's current contract with the French champions expires after 18 months, at a time when the new coach of the club, Mauricio Pochettino, discredited reports of the departure of the French international striker to Real Madrid.

Neymar, whose contract with Saint-Germain ends in June 2022, said in televised remarks, "I am very happy today. Conditions have changed a lot, and I cannot say the exact reason .. Am I a change or other things?"

"I have integrated (with the team) and I feel calmer and very happy here. I want to stay at Saint-Germain and I hope Kylian Mbappe will stay too. Of course this is the wish of all the St Germain fans. Me and Kylian are like siblings ... and we really like to play in love with me. Side ".

"We want Saint-Germain to become a great team and we want to continue what we do every day in Paris ... playing happily, and this is the most important thing."

Saint-Germain is third among the Ligue 1 teams, 3 points behind leaders Lille.
