A few more kilometers of rails to better serve the east of Lyon.

The T7 tram was put into service on Monday in Lyon.

This new line follows the same route as the T3 between the Carré de Soie stations in Vaulx-en-Velin and Décines Grand-Large but now serves the “OL Vallée à Décines”.

Travel time is estimated at ten minutes.

This achievement, which cost 1.6 million euros, strengthens the T3 line frequented by 52,000 daily travelers before the coronavirus crisis.

It will offer "nearly 25% additional capacity to all passengers on the T3 line, on this common section", underlines Sytral.

"It is a new alternative to the private car which will make it possible to strengthen the cohesion of the territories and to refine the mesh of the public transport network on the territory of the East of Lyon", also welcomed Bruno Bernard ( EELV), president of Sytral.
