In these times of Covid-19, the practice of pétanque in bowling alleys is one of the prohibited activities.

Saturday, 23 players were confirmed by seeing the gendarmes disembark in Saint-Julien-en-Genevois (Haute-Savoie).

The bowlers had made an appointment for a game, without respecting the sanitary instructions, relates

Le Dauphiné Libéré.

The gendarmes therefore fined them, each receiving a fine of 135 euros for non-compliance with health instructions, or 3,100 euros of minutes drawn up in total.

The manager of the bowling alley, which should not have opened its doors, was taken into custody and must be summoned to court for "endangering the lives of others".

Since the Prime Minister announced the maintenance of the curfew and the strengthening of measures for certain types of businesses, controls have been stepped up throughout the country to ensure proper compliance with health rules.
