On Sunday around 10:40 a.m., the police in Hazebrouck, in the North, hastened to stop a young man who had just stolen a ring.

The respondent had attracted the attention of the officers by making them an obscene gesture.

At the origin of the story, a police patrol passing through the Boulevard de l'Abbé Lemire, in Hazebrouck, noticed two people on a pedestrian bridge.

One of the two men gave the police an obscene gesture, in other words, gave the officials a middle finger.

The latter therefore decided to control the duo.

Discoveries carrying a stolen object

During the search, the police discovered on the friend of the rude a ring in its case.

When asked by officers where the object came from, the 30-year-old named his friend as the owner.

When questioned in turn, the 23-year-old friend finally admitted to having stolen the ring.

Both were arrested.

The real owner of the jewel was quickly found, living in the same household as the respondents.

The young man on the middle finger will be summoned to answer for the theft, his friend for receiving theft.

The contempt was not upheld.
