Munich (AP) - FC Bayern Munich is planning the Club World Cup without Joshua Zirkzee and Chris Richards.
In contrast to the two young professionals who are about to make changes, Leon Goretzka and Javi Martínez can at least be found in the official squad list.
According to the world football association FIFA, the lists were confirmed on Monday, three days before the start of the tournament.
It remains to be seen whether Goretzka and Martínez can actually travel to Qatar after positive corona tests.
The injured Alexander Nübel is also on the list, but will not be able to play.
Loans are expected at Zirkzee and Richards.
Striker Zirkzee is likely to move to Parma Calcio in the Italian Serie A.
Richards was reportedly in conversation with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
138 players are expected to play in Qatar as there are 23 players in each squad.
Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, Martínez, David Alaba and Jérôme Boateng from FC Bayern and Luiz Adriano from Palmeiras have already won the tournament.
The Club World Cup starts on Thursday with the game Tigres UANL from Mexico against Ulsan Hyundai FC from South Korea.
FC Bayern will intervene in the action next Monday.
The finale is dated February 11th.
