Neumünster (dpa / lno) - Anyone who stubbornly refuses to accept a corona quarantine in Schleswig-Holstein has been threatened with accommodation since Monday in extreme cases.

In a separate facility on the grounds of the Moltsfelde juvenile detention center in Neumünster, there is space for up to six quarantine objectors.

Until Friday afternoon, however, it was not foreseeable that the districts would already make use of the accommodation option, said a spokeswoman for the district assembly.

A court ultimately has to decide on an accommodation ordered by the health department.

According to the Infection Protection Act, so-called segregation comes into consideration as a last resort.

This means that someone must visibly refuse to adhere to the conditions, violations must be proven and a so-called threat approach must have been unsuccessful.

It is not known how many quarantine objectors there are in the country.

The Segeberg district will operate the accommodation and make it available to the other districts and independent cities.

12 to 15 people are employed through fee contracts.

More than 30 former police and correctional officers had volunteered.
