According to TASS, motorists will not be able to obtain a tuning permit if the register does not contain a preliminary technical examination report, as well as inspection protocols or car registration plates are on the wanted list.
These changes were introduced by the decree of the Russian government.
The decision to refuse to issue a tuning permit is made "if there is no conclusion in the register of preliminary technical examination of the vehicle structure for the possibility of making changes, protocols for checking the safety of the vehicle structure after the changes made to it."
It is also noted that tuning will be prohibited for those cars whose units, registration documents and state registration plates are on the wanted list, as well as if signs of concealment, forgery, alteration, destruction of the vehicle identification mark are found.
In November, the Federation Council commented on the idea of toughening the rules for repairing and tuning cars.
