The Syrian Network for Human Rights said that it has documented more than 1,880 cases of arbitrary detention by the parties to the conflict in Syria during the year 2020.

The network added in its report that the Syrian regime forces detained about 900 people out of the total number of arrests during the past year.

She explained that the so-called "Syrian Democratic Forces" had arrested at least 480 people during the past year, including 32 children.

The network confirmed that Syria is an unstable country and is not safe for the return of refugees or displaced persons, especially in regime-controlled areas.
