Garmisch-Partenkirchen (dpa / lby) - After the disappointing first Super-G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, ski racer Kira Weidle is hoping for a successful race today.

Even if it goes down the Kandahar again in the less beloved discipline, the Starnberg woman wants to improve significantly compared to 23rd place on Saturday.

The favorite is again Lara Gut-Behrami from Switzerland, who dominated the first race.

In addition to Weidle, the young Regensburg native Anna Schillinger also competes for the German Ski Association.

The Super-G is the last women's race in the World Cup before the World Championships a week later in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
