Parchim / Neubrandenburg (dpa / mv) - With protest walks and car parades, around 400 people protested against the existing corona restrictions over the weekend in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

As police spokesman explained, around 200 participants moved through the inner city of Parchim (Ludwigslust-Parchim) on Sunday evening with two registered elevators.

That was about 300 people less than a week ago.

With the exception of about 30 violations of the mask requirement, which are to be punished with administrative fines, there were no further violations of corona and assembly requirements.

On Saturday, around 200 people protested for the first time with car parades in Neubrandenburg against what they considered to be too strict Corona restrictions.

The groups drove a total of around 100 cars on two routes through the city area and briefly to Stargard Castle and back.

There was a collision between two cars in which no one was injured.

A total of six administrative offenses were recorded.

In the northeast, the weekly incidence has been falling slowly for almost two weeks.

It is currently 90.4 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants, 112.9 in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district and 129 in the Mecklenburg Lake District.
