In Niger, the Constitutional Court announced the final results of the first round of the presidential election.

The second round will pit Mohamed Bazoum, of the presidential party PNDS Tarayya, against Mahamane Ousmane, of the RDR Tchanji.

The Constitutional Court confirmed the results of the Ceni.

Mohamed Bazoum (more than 39% of the vote) and Mahamane Ousmane (nearly 17%) will therefore be face to face in the second round of the Nigerien presidential election on February 21.

Campaign HQs are in full swing.

Two parties have already announced their support for Mohamed Bazoum: ANDP Zaman Lahiya and RPP Farilla, whose candidates respectively came 7th and 8th in the first round.

Not enough to panic the camp of Mahamane Ousmane, already supported by the Cap 20/21 coalition which brings together 18 parties.

They are historical allies of the PNDS, we have not even approached them

", explains Ibrahim Bana, head of electoral matters for the RDR Tchanji.

His camp claims to have already convinced the Justice and Progress Party of Salou Djibo.

But the entourage of the former colonel affirms that nothing is decided.

It seems that the one everyone is courting is Albadé Abouba, candidate of the MPR Jamhuriya.

He is originally from Tahoua, in the north of the country, an important electoral basin.

And some claim that he would still have an influence on the MNSD, his former party, whose candidate Seyni Oumarou, who came third, also remains silent.

Confident, the RDR Tchanji believes he already has a sufficient reservoir of votes to overturn the table.

"

Alliances will not be enough to bridge the voices gap,

" said Omar Moussa, a member of Mohamed Bazoum's campaign team, calmly.
