The election of the final office of the National Assembly in the DRC is maintained for February 3, date of the end of the extraordinary session convened for this purpose.

The final list of successful candidates was published this Sunday, January 31.

Several files have been failed, except those of the Sacred Union of Félix Tshisekedi.

Three personalities had submitted their files to compete for the post of President of the National Assembly.

Independent candidate, Fabrice Bandenonga was dismissed.

The age bureau explains its decision in particular by the fact that it was presented neither by his party nor by his grouping.

Member of Joseph Kabila's FCC, Jean Kimbunda was also excluded from the race.

His file is criticized for the absence of his party's letter of consent, but also for the fact that he ran as an independent and much more for a position reserved for the majority.

Christophe Mboso N'Kodia Pwanga, president of the provisional office and head of the ticket supported by Félix Tshisekedi, therefore remains the sole candidate.

The same goes for the post of first vice-president.

Jean-Marc Kabund, interim president of Félix Tshisekedi's UDPS, is the only one whose candidacy is maintained.

The case of Justin Kiluba from Palu has been shelved.

The reason, according to the age office, relates to the absence of the letter of consent from his reunion.

As for the post of second vice-president, Justin Banywesize of the Sacred Union is the only candidate.

The files of Joseph Kokonyangi of the FCC and Jacques Djoli of the MLC of Jean-Pierre Bemba were also dismissed.

The two stood independently for the post of rapporteur where the candidacy of Joseph Lembi, carried by the Sacred Union, was upheld.

The only position where there will be a match therefore remains that of assistant reporter where Shisso Nkongolo, of the Sacred Union, will compete with Colette Tshomba, of the FCC.
