Turkish statement

Ankara accused the PKK militants of being behind the bombings.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense stressed that there is no aim to organize the Workers' Party "but to shed blood in northern Syria."

She said that the Workers' Party "targeted the cities of Al-Bab and Azaz, a day after a terrorist attack in Afrin."

"Those terrorists who kill our Syrian brothers with their inhuman attacks to undermine peace and confidence in the region, they end up being buried with their dreams in the pits they dug and drowning in the blood of the innocent that they shed," she added in a statement.

The areas of northern Syria, which are controlled by the opposition forces, are witnessing car and bicycle explosions, and rarely any party claims responsibility for them.

Yesterday, Saturday, a car bombing killed 8 civilians, including 4 children, in Afrin, northwestern Syria.
