Geiselhöring (dpa / lby) - A 20-year-old died in the Straubing-Bogen district when a car crashed into a tree.
The car skidded on Saturday evening between Hirschling and Geiselhöring and hit the side of a tree, said a spokesman for the Straubing police station.
The 19-year-old driver and his 21-year-old passenger were seriously injured and taken to hospital by emergency services.
The 20-year-old, who was sitting in the back seat, succumbed to his injuries.
There was snow on the street, but it wasn't slippery in winter.
The Regensburg public prosecutor had requested an expert to clarify the course of the accident.
