Pau, led 17-12 in the 65th minute, created a surprise by going to win 18-17 in Lyon, thus obtaining a second victory in a row away, at the end of a match of the 15th day of Low-level top 14, Saturday.

It is also the third away success since the start of the season for the Section paloise which has climbed to tenth place in the standings, with 30 points.

The Lyonnais, for their part, will still be content with difficulty with the defensive bonus point.

They have 39 points and are 7th two lengths behind Clermont (6th).

To build their victory, the Pau were able to count on the precision of their scorers.

Thus, the scrum half, Samuel Marques scored twelve points at the foot (4 penalties out of 5 attempted) and the opener Antoine Hastoy scored the two decisive penalties at the end of the match (69th, 72nd) to validate the victory while the Lyonnais were leading 17-12 in the 65th minute.

To put their scorers in position, the Palois were able to blame the Lyonnais who were both very undisciplined and clumsy.

If the visitors may regret the attempt refused to the young opener Thibault Debaes (40th), the Lyonnais for their part wasted several clear opportunities to cross the opposing line (24th, 35th, 56th).

Led 12-7 in the 51st minute, LOU Rugby thought they had done the hard part by regaining the score at the hour mark on a try from hooker Jérémie Maurouard (14-12, 60th), but the desire was really to side of the Palois.
