The earthquakes do not give truce in the province of
Granada
and throughout Friday afternoon
constant seismic movements
have been registered,
the epicenter of the great majority being located in the Santa Fe area, although with more moderate intensity.
The National Geographic Institute reports
20 seismic movements
from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, registering the highest intensity at 9:18 p.m., 3.3 degrees, and at 9:27 p.m., 2.4, both with an epicenter in the municipality of Santa Fe, without causing injuries or reporting notable damage.
The rest of the earthquakes were between 1.5 and 1.8 degrees of intensity.
For the moment, the Junta de Andalucía maintains active the
pre
-emergency
phase of
the Emergency Plan in the event of seismic risk, given that the situation remains the same as when it was activated on January 26, due to tremors without personal or structural damage, although it does that has intensified coordination.
Since the 1979 earthquakes, in which the province of Granada registered numerous tremors for six consecutive months - none of a magnitude greater than 5 -, those responsible for emergencies emphasize that
much progress has been made in response capacity,
knowledge and coordination, as well as regarding earthquake-resistant regulations and self-protection behaviors of the population.
