Saudi Arabia: Two conditions for the return of the holder of the final exit visa

The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia announced today, Saturday, that there are two conditions for the foreign worker with a final exit visa to return to the Kingdom once entry procedures are completed.

In response to an inquiry from a citizen in this regard, the Passports Directorate indicated on the social networking site "Twitter" that "if the exit is regular, and there are no notes, he can return after completing the entry procedures."

In his inquiry, the Saudi citizen said, "If he settles a final exit for a domestic worker, how long will the period be for him to return to Saudi Arabia with a new sponsor?"

The Passports Directorate had made it clear through its official Twitter account that it is possible to renew the identity of a resident for domestic workers if the validity of the identity is less than 14 months.

The Passports Directorate also indicated that the identity card can be renewed for commercial workers if the validity of the resident’s identity card remains for less than 6 months, with the presence of a valid “work permit and health insurance document”.

The directorate stated that the validity of the Muqeem ID card is five years from the date of issuance, and it is renewed annually electronically through the employer's Absher platform.

The directorate confirmed that not renewing a resident’s identity for the first time requires a fine of 500 riyals, and for the second time 1000 riyals.

If the matter is repeated for a third time, the penalty shall be deportation from the Kingdom.
