Chemnitz (AP) - The Niners Chemnitz suffered their tenth defeat in their 14th game of the basketball Bundesliga.

The team of coach Rodrigo Pastore was defeated on Saturday in its own hall medi Bayreuth with 61:83 (30:40) and ranks with eight points in the lower middle of the table.

The best throwers from Chemnitz were Isiaha Mike (12 points) and Jonas Richter (11).

The outstanding player at Bayreuth was Osvaldas Olisevicius, who contributed 26 points to the well-deserved victory for the guests.

The Niners had to do without the slightly injured winger Joe Lawson, but center Filip Stanic returned to the floor for the first time after his muscle bundle rupture in November.

After a quick 5-0 lead (2nd minute), the Saxons lost the ball seven times in the first quarter and went into the first break with a narrow deficit (15:17).

In the second section, Stanic bent his right foot after a rebound and had to limp out of the field (15th).

The guests used the personal setback at the Chemnitz team to break away with ten points for the first time in the 17th minute (27:37).

After changing sides, the Pastore team was able to temporarily reduce the gap to five points.

In the final quarter, however, the mistakes made by the Niners increased again, who only managed six points in the last ten minutes.
