U.S. pharmaceutical company Moderna has announced that it will cut the supply of COVID-19 vaccine to Italy as well.



Domenico Arcuri, chairman of the Corona 19 Emergency Response Committee under the Italian government, revealed the details of Modena's notification through a briefing.



Modena announced that it would deliver only 132,000 doses, down 20% from the original contract volume of 166,000 doses, in the middle of next month.



It is reported that Moderna has previously informed France of a plan to reduce supply by 25% next month.



Following Pfizer and AstraZeneca, the company has decided to reduce its supply to Modena, and there is concern that the inoculation disruption that is realizing by region will worsen.



Chairman Arcuri says Italy has received at least 300,000 doses of vaccine than originally planned.



Italy is currently receiving a total of 231,136 doses of vaccine, of which 73.9% or 17,13,362 doses.



The number of people who completed the two vaccinations was 392,504, accounting for 0.65% of the total population.



In Italy, the number of new confirmed cases of Corona 19 per day was 13,574, the number of deaths was 477, the cumulative number of confirmed cases was 25,297,000, and the cumulative death toll was 87,000.
