Prosecutors are investigating the suspected crimes that must have been committed at RFSL's office in 2019. A former adviser has reported to the police for sexual abuse of several young men seeking asylum, writes Svenska Dagbladet.

In the police investigation that took place during the autumn, four feared victims have been traced.

Prosecutor Paulina Pilati tells the newspaper that she will bring charges in the investigation soon.

According to several stories that the newspaper has read, asylum-seeking men have been sexually exploited by a man who, according to RFSL, worked with, among other things, HIV prevention.

In the business, he must have come into contact with RFSL's business "newcomers", where LGBTQ asylum seekers and the undocumented can apply.

The police report was delayed

RFSL Stockholm's management tells Svd that they did what they could in the summer of 2019, but that "word for word".

At the beginning of April 2020, a police report was made, only ten months after information about suspected rapes had reached RFSL Stockholm's management.

Lawyer Isac Mekonen, who represents the suspect, tells Svd that his client denies the crime.

The man is in custody, according to Svd.

One of the contributors, Region Stockholm, now requires a report from the organization.

RFSL is a national association for the rights of homosexuals, bisexuals, transgender people, queeras and intersex people.
