A puppy wandering the streets managed to overcome the wounds and found a family to be with for life.

On the 22nd local time, US ABC News and other foreign media reported that Matthew O'Hanlan, a policeman working in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, rescued a dog earlier this month.

On the 2nd, while on patrol with colleagues from police officers, O'Hanlan found a small dog wandering alone near the square.

There was also a large hole in the middle of the forehead and a wound that seemed to heal.

Worried that a puppy about three months old would be hit by a passing car, O'Hanlan rescued the puppy instead of waiting for the animal shelter staff.

At first, Mr. O'Hanlan thought that a nearby resident's dog had escaped from the house and tried to find the owner, but he took the dog to an animal shelter because he could not see signs such as a leash or name tag.

The shelter, seeing the wound, speculated that it was "seems attacked by another animal."

In addition, he said, “It is difficult to determine, but it is probably difficult to find the owner. It seems that the puppy is abandoned.”

Even after leaving the puppy to the shelter, Mr. O'Hanlan couldn't forget the pathetic gaze of the puppy he saved.

Eventually, he called again 20 minutes after leaving the shelter, saying, "If the owner of the dog I just left doesn't show up, I'd like to adopt it."

The shelter was supposed to take care of the dog until she found the owner, but O'Hanlan took her dog to the veterinary hospital.

One animal tooth stuck in the wound was found and had to undergo an extraction surgery, but the puppy recovered vigorously without any major health problems.

After a week, the owner of the puppy did not appear, and the puppy became O'Hanlan's new family.

As the interest and support of the netizens poured into the story, Mr. O'Hanlan said, "I gave the name'Thor' to a puppy who overcame a big wound. It is the most adorable and affectionate puppy I've ever seen in my life." Delivered.
