Leipzig (dpa / sn) - The energy company VNG has put a new biogas plant into operation in northern Saxony.
The VNG subsidiary Balance Erneuerbare Energien now has 36 locations, the company announced on Friday.
Since 2018, the number has increased more than fivefold.
The Balance subsidiary is to be expanded into one of the leading biogas plant operators in Germany.
The new plant in Gordemitz can supply around 4,000 households with biologically produced gas.
