Freiburg (dpa / lsw) - Trainer Christian Streich honored Nils Petersen in the highest tones before his 200th competitive game for SC Freiburg.

"He is still one of the best final players in German football," said Streich on Friday.

If he were to list his achievements as a player and person for the sports club, that would go beyond the scope of the press conference, the SC coach explained: "I can think of 150 things".

It is possible that Freiburg's record goalscorer will sit on the bench at VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday (6 p.m. / Sky), as in previous games.

The squad for the away game will again include midfielder Baptiste Santamaria, who returned to team training on Thursday after his knee capsule injury.

Attacking player Roland Sallai, however, is still out due to his ankle ligament tear.

Although the Freiburg team even gave away a possible victory in the 1-1 draw in the first leg, Streich expects a much more difficult task for the second leg in fourth place in the Bundesliga.

“We were the better team at the time,” said the SC coach, “but after many weeks of English they weren't in optimal physical condition.

Now they have maximum discipline against the ball, and they can play football too. "

The SC goal in the first leg was scored by Petersen.
