The security situation remains very precarious in Haiti where villainous kidnappings are daily.

The final text of the potential

future Constitution

of Haiti is still not available, but important changes have finally been made public.

To avoid long negotiations between the executive and the Parliament, there would be no more question for the country to have a Prime Minister.

On the US model, the president would be elected with a vice president and together they would lead the government team.

Another major change: Parliament would have only one chamber, the Senate would be abolished.

Also, multi-nationality would be enshrined in the Constitution, which would allow descendants of Haitians to vote and even to claim elected positions.

The details of these possible changes in Haitian political life should be known in the coming days.

The government is still counting on the organization of a referendum on April 25, while the pursuit of the president's mandate beyond February 7 is the subject of more debate than ever and insecurity is in full swing across the country.
