Liverpool put an end to its shaky results in the Premier League, after it scored a valuable and deserved 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday in the twentieth stage of the competition.

Liverpool was the best party in the match, while Tottenham were affected by the injury of English international Harry Kane, who was substituted before the start of the second half.

Liverpool scored through Brazilian star Roberto Firmino, in the fourth minute of stoppage time for the first half, to end the scoring fast for the red team in the competition, after it was unable to score in its last four matches.

In the second half, Trent Alexander-Arnold added the second goal for Liverpool in the 47th minute, but Tottenham re-ignited the match, after Danish player Pierre Emil Huberg scored a goal for the London team in the 49th minute.

Liverpool tightened its grip on the match, after its Senegalese striker Sadio Mane scored the third goal in the 65th minute, so German coach Jürgen Klopp won a new victory over his Portuguese counterpart Jose Mourinho.

Liverpool, who achieved their first victory in the tournament during the new year, rose to 37 points in fourth place, 4 points behind Manchester City (leaders), which still has a game in hand.

On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspur, who scored two wins in their last eight matches in the competition, stuck at 33 points in sixth place.

With this victory, Liverpool continued to beat Tottenham after defeating him in all their last six confrontations in various competitions, knowing that this victory is the third in a row for the German coach Jürgen Klopp's team over the white team in the British capital, London.

This victory also restored some balance to Liverpool, who failed to achieve any victory in their last five matches in the English Premier League, as the team dreams of retaining its title for the second consecutive season, as its last victory in the competition goes back to December 19, when it swept its host Crystal Palace 7 - zero.
