Fifteen days, fifteen chefs, fifteen opportunities to enjoy good local cuisine.

For a good cause.

From February 1 to 19, the solidarity chefs kiosk will offer Place des Jacobins, in the heart of Lyon, menus from restaurateurs concocted and sold for the benefit of the Notre-Dame des Sans-Abri home.

This initiative was born under the impetus of Fabrice Bonnot, at the head of the Lyon restaurant Cuisine et Dépendance and founder of the association Envie d'un rire.

This year, due to Covid-19, he had to cancel the ninth edition of the Soupe en Scène solidarity concert.

Also, to help the most underprivileged, he adapted and imagined this kiosk for chefs.

Supported by the famous Lyonnais mother Jacotte Brazier, this operation brings together 15 renowned cooks from the region, some of them starred, like Régis Marcon, based in Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid, in Haute-Loire.

Profits donated to the homeless

They will concoct their recipes, thanks to the support of the supplier Metro, and will donate all of the profits to the Foyer Notre-Dame des Sans Abri, working for the most disadvantaged.

Each day, a single menu, with starter, main course and dessert will be offered to the public at a price of 28.50 euros, with reservations possible via the Internet 48 hours in advance.

Gourmets can then pick up their dishes at the kiosk between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. in click & collect or have them delivered at an additional cost.

In 2019, Soupes en scène had raised and donated 21,000 euros.
