Berlin (dpa / bb) - Handball Bundesliga team Füchse Berlin will be able to continue the rest of the season without any audience income.

"Due to the waivers of the players' wages, the state aid, some savings and the extremely high reliability of the partners, we are now in such a way that we can survive the issue," said manager Bob Hanning.

And yet the situation remains tense.

"I'm not reassured because it's a challenge every day," said Hanning.

Above all, a lot of creativity is required at the moment.

"We were able to save in areas where I would never have thought that we could still save," said Hanning.

And the manager admitted: "Others are worse off."

Hanning relies on solidarity in the club and its environment.

“All partners are still on friendly terms.

With us everything is familiar and that comes to our aid now, ”he said.

But it is also clear to him that it cannot go on forever.

He would like to offer the sponsors a platform again.

Since November 2, no more spectators have been allowed to the home games in the Max-Schmeling-Halle.

Hanning still hopes to be able to play in front of a limited number of spectators again this season.

"We at least hope that we can go back to the topic of 500 viewers from March," he said.

The foxes are therefore in regular contact with the responsible authorities.
