Fürth (dpa) - Branimir Hrgota led SpVgg Greuther Fürth to a convincing home win in the promotion race of the 2nd Bundesliga.

The efficient Franconians won against FC Erzgebirge Aue 3-0 (2-0) on Friday and moved up to third at the start of the 19th matchday.

Captain Hrgota (15th / 34th minute) prepared the way for the fourth home win for Fürth this season.

Julian Green (60th) increased after the break.

In their 1111th second division game, the Fürth had the final luck this time, which they had often lacked this season.

Hrgota moved in from the left, his shot from the edge of the penalty area was deflected by Florian Ballas, making it impossible for goalkeeper Martin Männel.

After Louis Samson lost the ball against Sebastian Ernst, he played for Hrgota.

The former Bundesliga professional from Gladbach and Frankfurt easily scored his seventh goal of the season.

Green made it 3-0 after an hour when he didn't hit the ball properly after a cross from Marco Meyerhöfer, but still cheered the goal with luck.

It was also the seventh goal of the season for him.

After the Fürth had no win against Aue in six games before, there was now a three-point again.

Marius Funk, who was called up in goal for the first time this season, was hardly challenged.
