Abakar Sabone, one of the spokespersons for the CPC rebellion, is under an international arrest warrant issued by the Central African justice system.

Former special advisor to Michel Djotodia during the time of the ex-Séléka, he returned to the Central African Republic in 2019, after a long exile in Chad.

The authorities now wish to prosecute him for "offenses committed between December 2020 and January 2021".

He is not one of the main rebel leaders of the CPC.

His movement, founded a year ago, is not a signatory to the Kamba Kotta agreement, the birth certificate of the coalition.

But he is one of its spokespersons and one of the most media figures, accustomed to thunderous statements on social networks.

It is not a small piece of paper signed by a prosecutor that will prevent us from continuing the fight

", he still governed last night about the arrest warrant issued against him on January 25.

It must be said that at 55 years old, Abakar Sabone, born in Carnot, forged a long experience in various rebellions, according to the upheavals that his country is experiencing.

Active alongside François Bozizé during his coup d'état in March 2003, he was his last Minister of Tourism, before joining the opposing camp: Michel Djotodia's Seleka, who made him his special advisor.

At that time, he hit the headlines by proposing a partition of the Central African Republic.

Exiled in Chad for many years, he took part in the negotiations for the Khartoum agreement for the FPRC led by Noureddine Adam, then left this movement.

According to the arrest warrant issued against him, he is accused of inciting disobedience and refusal to pay tax.

A warrant issued as part of the ongoing investigation against Thierry Savonarole, an executive of the KNK, the party of ex-president Bozizé, arrested in January.
