Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - After the bloody death of a woman in Stuttgart, the district court wants to pronounce a judgment today against the accused husband of the victim.

The 53-year-old is said to have killed his much younger wife on a S-Bahn platform with a kitchen knife last summer.

According to the prosecution, the 42-year-old wanted to part with him.

Before the act, she was repeatedly harassed, beaten, threatened and insulted by the man.

The public prosecutor's office demands a life sentence for murder.

The man stabbed out of excessive possessiveness.

The accused Afghan, who fled Iran to Germany with his family in 2015, denies the act.

His wife drew a knife, he testified in front of the grand jury.

There was a scuffle in which the woman injured herself.

The man's defense attorney questioned the murder thesis in court, but made no concrete complaint.

In the opinion of the co-prosecutor, however, even a spontaneous decision to act does not exclude the murder characteristic of low motives.
