In the clip above, you will hear David Edenvik, assistant infection control doctor, tell us when we will see the effects of the vaccinations.

By the end of the week, approximately 1,500 people in the county will have received the two doses required for immunity.

It is a small part of the nearly 300,000 county residents who will be offered vaccination until the summer.

In the first phase with people in nursing homes, people with home care and home health care and others in their households, 25,000 people will be vaccinated until the end of February.

- When it comes to those with the greatest risk of becoming seriously ill in our nursing homes, morbidity and mortality will probably decrease in the coming weeks thanks to the vaccine, says David Edenvik, assistant infection control doctor.
