Recently, some media reported that "more than 10,000 mu of public welfare shelter forests in Dunhuang Yangguan Forest Farm have been severely felled."

On January 28, China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment spokesperson Liu Youbin responded to this at a press conference and said that after learning of the news, the Central Ecological Environmental Protection Inspectorate's Office rushed to the scene, and the on-site investigation has basically ended.

If it is found that there is indeed a problem of obvious negligence of duty and responsibility, the relevant parties in Gansu Province will be urged to further investigate and verify, clarify the responsibilities, and be held accountable in accordance with discipline and law.
