Affecting investors' pessimism is the dispute between the European Commission and the Astrazeneca company, with the prospect of lengthening the time for vaccination.

But also the hypotheses of new lockdowns in Europe, starting with France.

Wall Street was also bad yesterday, where the main indices fell by more than 2%, despite the good quarterly results of some tech giants such as Apple, Microsoft and Tesla.

Yesterday The governor of the US central bank, Jerome Powell, left monetary policy and that of bond purchases unchanged, but warned: the road to recovery is long, especially on the labor front.



Yesterday there was a new jump in the Game Stop stock: + 134%, which leads to an increase of almost 800% in a week.

There was an unprecedented challenge from below to bearish investors, that is to investment funds that bet on the fall in the price of a stock they see in difficulty.

In a channel of the social network Reddit, several amateur investors have decided to bet all together on some titles subject to downward pressure, such as GameStop, which is a chain of video game stores, but also Nokia.

This then triggered automatic purchases that led to these prices.

In after hour trading, the stock is down by 16 percent.

In Piazza Affari, on the Ftse Mib higher increases for Tenaris (+ 2.8%) and Saipem (+ 1.17%).

Greater falls for Amplifon (-2.20%) and Diasorin (-2.6%), which yesterday had risen by 5.3 percent.
