The department noted that in connection with the emergence of new calls for participation in illegal actions, the administrations of social networks were notified of the need to remove prohibited information.
"Foreign and Russian social networks have begun to actively delete information based on the new requirements of the Prosecutor General's Office," said Roskomnadzor.
It is noted that the department continues to interact with Internet platforms in order to stop the involvement of minors in illegal mass actions, the conduct of which, among other things, carries risks in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier, the Kremlin said that social networks should not become platforms for promoting uncoordinated actions.
