Dresden / Leipzig (dpa) - During the major raid in the drug milieu on Wednesday, the police seized numerous assets.

In addition to almost 180,000 euros in cash, four cars, two motorcycles, two wristwatches and a yacht were confiscated, as the State Criminal Police Office announced in Dresden on Thursday.

In addition, weapons and ammunition were seized, including a pistol and a long gun, as well as extensive evidence on data carriers.

Around 1,300 police officers targeted the drug environment during the major raid in Saxony and other federal states on Wednesday.

Under the leadership of the State Criminal Police Office (LKA), 52 buildings - mainly in Dresden and Leipzig - were searched on suspicion of gang trafficking in narcotics.

There were also searches in other Saxon locations as well as in Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg and Berlin.

Eleven men between the ages of 25 and 41 were arrested because they had arrest warrants.

The public prosecutor's offices in Leipzig and Dresden announced that remand eleven had been ordered against them.

One kilogram of marijuana, one kilogram of hashish and about half a kilogram of crystal were also seized during the campaign.

The investigations are still ongoing.
