Breuna / Kassel (dpa / lhe) - A 76-year-old man who is said to have killed his wife in the northern Hessian town of Breuna (Kassel district) is in custody.
As the police announced on Thursday, a judge had ordered the custody on Wednesday afternoon.
The 76-year-old is therefore suspected of being responsible for the violent death of his wife.
According to the information, the man has not yet commented on the allegations.
His 73-year-old wife was found dead in her home on Wednesday morning.
The police assume that the 76-year-old killed the woman using blunt force.
The exact cause of death should now clarify an autopsy scheduled for Thursday.
The suspect husband was arrested on Wednesday.
