Dresden (dpa / sn) - The defenders in the second trial for the right-wing extremist "Gruppe Freital" at the Dresden Higher Regional Court want probation or fines for their clients.

“He was neither a member nor a supporter,” said a 53-year-old's lawyer.

The lawyer of a 27-year-old man pleaded for one and a half years imprisonment on probation, also referring to a “difficult childhood” of his client.

One argument was that the young man did not consciously participate, and it had not been proven that he was involved in the procurement of material for explosives.

The lawyer of a 31-year-old asked for two years probation, his colleague "a suspended sentence in the lower range" for a 31-year-old who was engaged to a group member who had already been convicted.

You got carried away.

The four defendants are charged with various types of involvement in crimes such as membership in a terrorist group, causing an explosive explosion, aiding and abetting attempted murder, damaging property and using the symbols of unconstitutional organizations.

On Monday, the attorney general's office called for imprisonment ranging from eight months to three years and two months, two of which could be suspended.
